This Privacy Policy defines how user information is handled in Progressia (hereinafter referred to as "the App").

1. Information Collected and Purpose of Use

The App collects and uses the following information within a certain scope to provide and improve services.

  • Device Identification Information (Device ID)
    We use device-specific identifiers for authentication and security assurance (prevention of unauthorized access) when using the App's features (such as AI chat). This does not identify specific individuals.
  • Input Text Data
    Text information entered by users in the AI chat feature is sent to the server for AI response generation.
  • Study Progress Data (Local Storage)
    Data such as study time, course progress, and badge acquisition status is, in principle, stored only on your device. These are used only for app functionality (such as graph display).

2. Information Transmission to External Services

The App uses the following third-party services for feature provision, and data is transmitted within the necessary scope.

Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Functions)
Used for authentication infrastructure and backend processing.
Content transmitted: Device identification information, authentication tokens, access logs

Used for AI chat feature response generation.

* Note: The App currently does not include ad delivery services (such as AdMob) or usage analytics tools (such as Google Analytics).

3. Data Storage and Management

Cloud Data:
Device identification information (terminal ID), authentication tokens, and access logs are strictly managed on Google Cloud Platform (Firestore). These are retained while you use the App and for a reasonable time thereafter.

Local Data:
User data such as study history is stored on your device and is completely deleted when you uninstall the app.

4. User Rights

  • Right to Request Data Disclosure
    You have the right to request disclosure of personal information we hold. If you would like to request disclosure, please contact us at the email address listed in "Contact" section. We will respond within a reasonable time.
  • Right to Request Data Deletion
    You have the right to request deletion of your personal information. Currently, you can contact us at the email address listed in "Contact" section to request deletion. We plan to implement an in-app deletion feature in the future. Local data is automatically deleted when you uninstall the app.

5. Security Measures

We take appropriate security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, loss, destruction, falsification, or leakage.

  • Technical Security
    We use SSL/TLS encryption for data transmission and implement access controls on our servers. Data stored in the cloud is managed securely on Google Cloud Platform.
  • Physical and Procedural Security
    We strictly manage and limit access to personal information to only employees and contractors who require it for their work. We also conduct regular security reviews.

6. Children's Privacy

  • Data Collection from Children
    We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
  • Response to Inappropriate Collection
    If we discover that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without parental consent, we will immediately delete it from our servers.

7. Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and AdMob

The App currently does not use GA4 or AdMob. However, we may implement these services in the future. Below is information about how these services handle data when implemented.

  • Google Analytics 4 (GA4)
    If we implement GA4, we may use cookies and advertising identifiers to track app usage and analyze user behavior. For more information about data handling, please refer to the Google Privacy Policy.
  • AdMob
    If we implement AdMob, ads may be delivered in the app. AdMob may use cookies and advertising identifiers to serve personalized ads. You can opt out of personalized ads in your device settings.

* When these services are implemented, we will update this Privacy Policy and clearly inform users.

8. Policy Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time for any reason. Changes will be effective as of the date specified in the "Effective Date."

  • Notification of Changes
    We will notify you of any changes to the Privacy Policy by updating this page with the new policy and its effective date.
  • Continued Use
    If you continue to use the App after changes to this Privacy Policy, you are deemed to have agreed to the revised policy.

9. Your Consent

By using the Application, you are consenting to the processing of your information as set forth in this Privacy Policy now and as amended by us.
